Character Relationship
Miyax’s relationship with other characters =
• Kapugen = Kapugen is Miyax’s father.
o Positive = Because of Kapugen, Miyax is able to be smart and know lots of things about surviving
o Negative = Because Kapugen has left Miyax, it makes her really sad and miss him a lot.
• Martha = Martha is Miyax’s aunt.
o Positive = Because of her, Miyax get taken care of when Kapugen needs to go away.
o Negative = Miyax doesn’t seem to enjoy living with Aunt Martha, that’s why she married Daniel, to get away
• Daniel= Daneil is Miyax’s husband
o Positive = Because Miyax married Daniel, she could stop living with Aunt Martha
o Negative = Because of Daniel, Miyax ran away and is now lost
• Naka = Naka is Miyax’s uncle
o Positive = Naka is Daniel’s father and also Kapugen’s friend and so Kapugen trust his son to marry Miyax. So because of Naka, Miyax can be married to Daniel
o Negative = Trusting him and marrying his son didn’t turn out good, because of that Miyax ran away.
• Amaroq = Amaroq is the wolf that Miyax takes to be her step father
o Positive = Amaroq helped her survive by bringing her food
o Negative = Amaroq then becomes missing which left Miyax wondering.


Main idea summary
Miyax was now accepted by the wolves. The wolves share their meat with Miyax. She then realized that most of the animals had gone to migration. Then Amaroq and the pack called Miyax and Miyax didn’t come because she wasn’t ready. When she was ready, there the wolves were no longer there.
She then remembered some memories of her from the past. She remembered that when she was young, her mom died and when she was with Kapugen, she was always happy. Then one day, Kapugen was told to leave and Miyax had to live with Aunt Martha. Then Miyax was really sad when she heard Kapugen was missing when he was riding his kayak. Miyax then was really depressed.


Story board

1. Miyax was accepted by the wolves and so the wolves shared their food (hunted caribou) with Miyax
2. Amaroq and the pack called Miyax, but Miyax wasn’t ready yet
3. When she was ready, the wolves had already left.
4. Then she remembered the past, how her mother died at an early age.
5. Also that one day her dad also needs to go away and she needs to live with her aunt.
6. One day her aunt said that something happened to Kapugen, Miyax’s dad. She had said that Kapugen was riding a kayak and never came back, assuming an accident happened.


Prediction
I predict that Kapugen was really not in an accident, that he was somewhere else and that Miyax was able to see him again. I also predict that Miyax was able to go to Point Hope and see her pen pal, Amy. Also that she would get rid of her husband Daniel forever.
